Rings in ur hand.
Posted September 24, 2008 by godsbestcreation_me

Aqeeq, in english, is also known as:

Cornelian
Carnelian
Red Agate
Agate
Chalcedony
Red Chalcedony

And here are some hadith on its merits:

A Hadith from Janabe Salman Farsi states that the last Prophet
requested Imam Ali to wear a ring on the right so that he may be listed among the Muqarrabeen (those near to Allah). The Imam asked the Prophet as to who the Muqarrabeen were, to which the Prophet replied Janabe Jibreel and Janabe Mikaiel.

Then the Imam inquired as to which stone should he wear. The Prophet replied Aqiq (cornelian), as this red stone had accepted the Oneness of Allah, the Prophethood of the last Prophet, and the vicegerency of Ali ibne Abi Talib, and the heavens for Ali's friends and Shias.

The 8th Imam was once asked why the 1st Imam wore his ring on the right hand. The Imam replies that Imam Ali is the leader of the Ashabe Yameen, and the Ashabe Yameen are those records of actions will be given on the right hand. And secondly, the last Prophet also wore his rings on his right hand.

The Shias will identified by these symbols, having the ring on the right hand, praying 5 times a day at the right timings, giving charity, distributing among his religious brothers his belongings, ordering good actions and keeping people away from evil.

The 9th Imam stated that Aqiq takes away the poverty and dissolves differences in one's heart.

The 6th Imam stated that Aqiq brings safety while traveling.

The Prophet stated that Allah finds it difficult not to listen to the prayers of those who have Aqiq and Firoza rings on their fingers, and feels hurt to negate their prayers.

The 6th Imam stated on Durre Najaf, that all the Momineen and Mominaat feel happy when they sight this stone, and the pain of their eyes is relived. The Imam stated that he wants every Momin to have five rings. Yakoot ring is the best. The second is Aqiq as it is a stone which has affection for Allah and Ahle Bayt. Third is Firoza which gives strength to the eyes, expands the breast and strengthens the heart. Whenever a Momin goes for some work with a Firoza ring on his finger, his work is done. Fourthly one should wear the ring of Hadeed Cheeni but not always. Only when one is afraid of some mischief then he should visit that environment with this ring on at the stone
keeps the devil away.

And the fifth ring should be that of Durre Najaf which
is found only in Najaf. When a person wears a ring of Durre Najaf, at his every glance towards it, Allah gives him the reward of Ziyarat, Hajj and Umrah, which are kept in his record of action. The reward is equal to the rewards of the Prophets and pious; if Allah had not been merciful towards the Shia, then every gem of Durre Najaf would have been costly but Allah made it readily available so that both rich and poor can wear it.

Also Imam al-Sadiq <a> has narrated:

"A hand with a Turquoise or Red-chalcedony ring raised in prayer is dearer before Allah than any other hand."

Another tradition states that praying two rakats Namaz (prayers) while wearing an Aqiq ring is better than praying a thousand rakats without it.

Imam Ali used to wear four rings on his hand - one of ruby (Yaqut) for beauty and dignity, the second of Turquoise (Firuza) for obtaining Divine help and victory, the thrid of Hadid Chini for strength and the fourth of Aqiq to protect himself against enemies and all types of misfortunes.

1)Ma`adh has narrated on the authority of Imam `Ali (a) saying: The one who wears an aqeeq ring, God grants him (literally: seals for him) the peace (al-amn) and faith.

2)Imam `Ali (a) has said: Wear aqeeq on your rings, you will be blessed and will be saved from afflictions.

3)`Abul Mu'min al-Ansaaree reports that I heard Abu `Abdillah (Imam Ja`far as-Sadiq) saying: The hands that wears Firoza will not see poverty.

<Reference: Shaykh al-Tabrasee, Makarimul Akhlaaq, Teheran, 1972, pp. 87-89.>

An Hadith in detail :

al Maghazeli reported from Katheer ibne Zaid and from Salam al Faresi that the Prophet (s.a.w.) said, Oh Ali! Wear a ring on your right hand as you are from the close people (to Allah (s.w.t.)), He (Ali (a.s.)) said, Oh Prophet (s.a.w.)! who are the close ones? He (Prophet (s.a.w.)) replied, Jabrail and Mekael, He (Ali (a.s.)) asked, Oh Messenger of Allah! what ring do I wear? He (Prophet (s.a.w.)) replied, the red Aqeeq, it is from a mountain that declared the oneness of Allah (s.w.t.) and to me the prophethood and to you the welaya (guardianship) and to your childrens the Imama (guardianship) and to those who love you the Janna (Heaven) and to your Shia and the Shia of your children the Ferdous (Heaven).

Aqeeq is an important stone. Tradition states that the Shia of Aaley Mohammed (a.s.) who wears an Aqeeq will never face anything except good, will have safety from all types of dangers, and his livelihood will be enhanced. He will also be protected from unjust rulers and from fear of the unknown. Aqeeq, as tradition goes, is a stone from a mountain in Yemen. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) told Ali (a.s.) Wear Aqeeq in a ring and you will be close to Allah. Three mountains in Jannat have Red, Yellow, and White Aqeeq.

Imam Ali a.s.'s Advice
GEMS FROM HIS FAMOUS WILL - On the 1,389th Martyrdom Anniversary of our beloved Imam (a.s)

After returning from the Battle of Siffin, Imam Ali (as) gave advice to one of his sons. He wrote them in the form of a will. They deal with almost every aspect of life which goes a long way to make a man successful in life - brave, humane, generous, virtuous and pious.

Let us treasure this advice and make it our guiding principle in life

These exhortations are from a father who realizes the mortality of life, who is getting old, who has patiently borne reverses and calamities, who hates inordinate desires and has overcome them, and who is shortly going to pass out of this world, to his son who is young, who has the desire of leading the world to sober ways of thinking and better ways of life,
a desire which is rather difficult to be achieved

------------------------

" ... Let it be known to you that decay of health, passing away of time and nearness of death, have made me realize that I should give more thought to my future (next world) and to my people; advise them more and spend more time in equipping them mentally to face this world.

I felt that my own sons and my near ones have as much right to utilize my experiences and knowledge, all the ups and downs of life, all the realities and all the truths about life in this world and in the Hereafter, which are as much known to me as others.

I decided, therefore, to spend more time over you and to prepare you more for your. This was neither selfishness nor self-esteem nor any mental luxury of giving away pieces of advice, but it was the sincere desire of making you see the world as I found it, look at the realities of lives as I looked at them, and do the right thing at the right time and right place as it should be done which made me write down these exhortations to you.

You will not find in them anything but truth and realities.

My dear son! You are part of my body and soul and whenever I look at you I feel as if I am looking at myself.

If any calamities befalls you, I feel as if it has befallen me. Your death will make me feel as if it was my own death. Your affairs are to me like my own affairs.

Therefore, I committed these pieces of advice to paper. I want you to take care of them, to pay attention to them and to guard them well. I may remain longer in your life or I may not, but I want these pieces of advice to remain with you always.

My first and foremost advice to you, my son, is to fear Allah.

Be His obedient servant. Keep His thought always fresh in your mind. Be attached to and carefully guard the principles (Islam) which connect you with Him. Can any other connection be stronger, more durable and more lasting than this to command greater respect and consideration or to replace it?

Accept good exhortations and refresh your mind with them. Adopt piety and kill your inordinate desires with its help. Build your character with the help of true faith in religion and Allah.

Subjugate your nature with the vision of death, make it see the mortality of life and of all that it holds dear, force it to realize the actuality of misfortunes and adversities, the changes of circumstances and times and compel it to study the lives of past people.

Persuade it to see the ruined cities, the dilapidated palaces, decaying signs and relics of fallen empires of past nations.

Then meditate over the activities of those people, what they have all done when they were alive and were in power, what they achieved, from where they started their careers; where, when and how they were brought to an end, where they are now; what have they actually gained out of life and what was their contributions to the human welfare.

If you carefully ponder over these problems, you will find that each one of those people has parted company with the others and with all that he cherished and loved and he is now in a solitary abode, alone and unattended; and you also will be like him. Take care to provide well for your future abode. Do not barter away eternal blessing for pleasures of this mortal and fleeting world.

Do not talk about things which you do not know. Do not speculate about and pass verdicts on subjects about which you are not in a position to form an opinion and are not called upon to do so.

Give up the way where there is a possibility of your going astray.

When there is danger on your wandering in the wilderness of ignorance, possibility of losing the sight of the goal which you want to attain and of reaching the end aimed at, then it is better to give up the quest than to advance facing uncertain dangers and unforeseen risks.

Advise people to do good and to live virtuously because you are fit to give such advice. Let your words and deeds teach the world lessons of how to abstain from wickedness and vicious deeds.

Try your best to keep away from those who indulge in vices and sins.

Fight, whenever required, to defend the cause of Allah.

When you think of defending the cause of Allah do not be afraid that people will laugh at you, censure your action or slander you.

Fearlessly and boldly help truth and justice.

Bear patiently the sufferings and face bravely the obstacles which come in your way when you follow truth and when you try to uphold it.

Adhere to the cause of truth and justice wherever you find it.

Try to be well versed with Islamic Jurisprudence and theology and acquire a thorough knowledge of the canons of this religion. ..."

NAHJUL – BALAGHA <Peak Of Eloquence>.

Imam Ali Said:

If you find that somebody is not grateful for all that you have done for him then do not get disappointed because often you will find that someone else feels under your obligation though you have done nothing for him and thus your good deeds will be compensated and Allah will reward you for your goodness

Ask your heart about Friendship, for surely it is a witness that cannot be bribed

BISMILLAHIR RAHMANIR RAHIM

If we were to give an exhaustive account of the benefits of the recitation of 'Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim' we would need more  than a single volume to  do justice to it. Apart from being part of every  chapter in the Holy Qur'an  (except the chapter of repentance - surah at-tawba), it is also the most  often repeated verse in the Holy Qur'an.

It is narrated in Tafseere Burhaan that the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) has said  that when a person recites 'Bismillahir Rahmanir  Rahim' then five thousand  ruby palaces are built for him in Jannah.

Each palace has a thousand chambers made of pearls  and in each chamber has  seventy thousand thrones of emerald and each throne  has seventy thousand  carpets made from special fabrics and upon each  carpet is seated a  Hur-ul-Ein.

A person asked for the condition necessary to get  this great reward and the Holy Prophet ( S.A.W.) replied that the person should recite the 'Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim' with conviction and understanding.

The Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S) has also said that when a  believer will have to  cross the Pul-e-Siraat on the Day of Judgement, and  he will say 'Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim' then the flames beneath him will  start dying down until  Jahannam will cry out, 'O believer, pass through quickly, your presence is  causing my fire to die out!'

When a teacher teaches a child to recite  'Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim' the  child, his parents and the teacher are all  guaranteed freedom from hellfire.

It is narrated that Prophet Isa (A.S.) was once  passing by a graveyard and  he saw a grave upon which the Wrath and Punishment  of Allah S.W.T.) was  descending, so he quietly walked past. When he  passed the same place after  some time, he noticed that the Mercy and Blessings  of Allah (S.W.T.) was  being showered on the same grave. He was surprised  at this and asked Allah (S.W.T.) about what has happened and it was revealed  to him that the man  inside the grave was a sinner and was thus being  punished for his sins. When  he died, his wife was pregnant and soon gave birth to a son.  When the boy grew older, his mother took him to a  teacher who taught him to  recite 'Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim' and I felt that  it would not be justice  that this man's son was calling My Name and I was  punishing his father in  the grave.

It is also mentioned that recitation of 'Bismillahir  Rahmanir Rahim' with a  loud voice is from the signs of a true believer. Imam Ali Ridha (A.S.) Said  that 'Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim' is very close to  the chosen name of Allah  (S.W.T.) <Isma A'adham>.

The Day of Judgment is near when there is a single  star in the sky,  straightaway the path of forgiveness will close. The  writing in the Quran  will vanish. The sun will lower itself with the  earth.. Muhammad (saw) said  who ever delivers this news to someone else I will  on the day of judgment  make him a place in paradise,

Forward this to as many Muslims as you can.  May Allah make us all be among those who truly love  Him. May He give us sincerity in both words and deeds

Insha Allah Ameen.
